Founding Fellow Surgical Oncology

 Dr. Gilson, a native Southern Californian, is a 1986 graduate of University of California at Davis. He completed a small animal internship at Colorado State University, and a surgical residency at North Carolina State University. He became board certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 1992. Dr. Gilson has over 40 professional publications in the areas of surgery and oncology, and has made numerous speaking presentations at international, national, and regional meetings.  Dr. Gilson remains active in practice, academic, and research endeavors. Outside veterinary medicine Dr. Gilson enjoys skiing, sailing, traveling, and spending time with his family.
